Remembrance Day
On November 11th, our community will gather to observe Remembrance Day.
This event is an opportunity for us to reflect on the profound costs of war and to express our collective gratitude for our peace and freedom. Together, we will honour all generations of Canadian veterans, including Indigenous veterans, women in the forces, and the families who support them from home. Whether you wear a poppy or share a moment of silence, your presence helps keep the promise of remembrance alive.
We invite you, your friends, and your family to join us for this respectful ceremony.
A march will begin at the lacrosse box and end at the Cenotaph in Confederation Park. A ceremony will take place at the Cenotaph. A light luncheon will follow at the Seniors Centre. The club will open early and there will be a pipe band visiting the club in the afternoon.
